This image from Sunday's NYTimes is a rather fascinating demonstration of the world of Twitter. Curious about this new social networking site, I recently created an account and began "following" a mixture of friends, fashionistas and celebrities. Martha Stewart, a Twitter "friend" of mine, tipped me off to John Metcalfe's column. While the article itself doesn't say much, the image is a great visual argument for the amount of people on Twitter and the random connections between them. Here's a close-up on the ties that bind Demi Moore, John Mayer and Shaq:
